Intelligent Instrumentation, Inc. RoHS Policy

As a manufacturer in the electronics industry, Intelligent Instrumentation Inc. (III) is committed to conducting business in a manner that respects, preserves, and improves the environment.

In recent years, there are increasing concerns for environmental conservation globally. The Directive 2002/95/EC on the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) was issued in February 2003. The RoHS directive restricts the use of the following substances on products sold into European markets from July 1, 2006:

• Lead
• Mercury
• Cadmium
• Hexavalent Chromium
• Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)
• Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)

Intelligent Instrumentation, Inc. (III) is committed to meeting the RoHS compliance for all of its products as soon as possible.

In support of this effort, III has taken the following actions:

  • The company has been working with its suppliers to identify components, materials and processes that are or will be compliant with RoHS requirements.
  • All product designed and released after July 2006 will be designed RoHS compliant.
  • A very large majority of III’s existing products have already been identified as RoHS compliant (click here <TBD - list is being prepared> for a part number listing) and will be marked with the RoHS symbol on the product webpage.
  • All RoHS compliant products are identified on the product with a label marked “RoHS” and this label is usually located on the PCB motherboard.
  • Many of the products are not identified with "RoHS" on the product label even though they are "RoHS" compliant. Please contact our factory for actual status based on the serial number code that is printed on the label.
  • Despite our best efforts, a small percent of III products are still not RoHS compliant because of the unavailability of compliant raw materials, components and hardware. III customer service can suggest alternative products for you that should meet your needs.

III’s claim for RoHS compliance is based on certification and data provided by III’s vendors. III does not assume any liability for inaccuracy resulting from inaccurate information provided by its vendors.
