Associate Design Director, Brand and Marketing

You are an experienced Art Director obsessed with every detail of the craft and life cycle of creative. You can ideate at a high, strategic, conceptual level, and distill ideas into design, art direction, and content creation. You find the right medium, intuit the right message, and communicate it through every and any touch point. You are endlessly positive, highly collaborative and solutions oriented. You are a visionary that can help to inspire your team to passionately solve complex problems. This role will directly impact Instrument’s growth and ability to position ourselves as a multi-dimensional marketing organization at the helm of innovation and creativity. 

What You'll Do

  • Concept, iterate, and test ideas in an effort to develop strategic, elegant and simple creative solutions across multiple marketing and social touch points, from content to digital
  • Work closely with strategists, writers, producers, designers, motion designers and technologists to brainstorm ideas and develop concepts for content spanning technology/innovation, product, marketing, brand,  and beyond
  • Establish the bar for creative excellence, art direction and design execution on your team
  • Translate a concept into a nuanced and differentiated brand communication.
  • Communicate ideas clearly to internal stakeholder, prospective clients and our audience through compelling narratives and content
  • Produce engaging design for social channels, newsletters, case studies, and thought leadership articles
  • Own the brand guidelines and protect the integrity and consistency across Instrument’s entire Brand footprint
  • Develop and manage a robust content calendar rooted in strategic 
  • Balance multiple project assignments and challenges with a steady disposition
  • Keep momentum to deliver consistently and efficiently

What You'll Bring

  • 3-5 years of experience leading integrated campaigns and content creation
  • Production experience across photography, live action and animation
  • Comfort working across multiple touch points, including an array of digital contexts
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills and high proficiency in delivering strategically grounded conceptual thinking across various platforms
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies, that in turn applies and drives innovation in the work you lead and create
  • A knack for collaborating with designers, producers, editors, motion designers, technologists and business owners to understand what a project needs at any given moment in an effort to move the project forward
  • The ability to fluctuate between short term needs and long term goals - a strong discipline to prioritize efforts both for yourself and a team

Pay range

  • The expected pay range for this position is $110,000-$135,000 for our base US Region 3*. We have three regional pay ranges that are adjusted for cost of living (US1 +15%, US2 +7.5%, US3 Base), learn more about our pay philosophy and cost of living adjustments
